Jottobots Now Available!

Jottobots Now Available!
YEAH! After three years hiding from the public, Jottobots is now available! The game only costs a single US dollar to enjoy for an eternity, DRM free.

Jottobots is a miniature exploration platformer, or a mini-metroidvania if you prefer. You start with five minutes on the clock to rack up as many points as you can through blowing up enemies, finding power ups, and stumbling across secret passage ways. Most of the art was done by J. Otto Seibold, and I did the programming, and some additional artwork as well. On the audio side, Josh Whelchel handled the music and Power Up Audio helped out with some sound mixing and a few sound effects.

I've now officially released three games in 2012! Offspring Fling!, Snapshot, and Jottobots... but I'm not finished! I made a promise to myself that before GDC 2012 I would release 5 games, so I have to figure out which two are next.

Oh and Snapshot is currently 50% off on Steam for just $4.99! Madness. Check it out!

Jottobots Releasing Soon!

Jottobots Releasing Soon!
Hey internet. I've had this project sitting around since about 2009 called Jottobots. It was originally a game created for the ARTxGAME collective, which pairs artists and game designers up to create something awesome. I collaborated with J. Otto Seibold (hence the name Jottobots) and it was a lot of fun! He created the characters and a lot of the artwork in the game, and I did all the programming and designing. I did some additional artwork as well, like the explosions and what not.

Jottobots turned out to be a miniature exploration game with arcade style scoring. The game is played under a time limit (which starts at 5 minutes but can be increased through time bonuses) and the goal is finding the exit but also grabbing a lot of points along the way. There are a couple of power ups and a decent sized map to fully explore, and the only way to get those maximum high scores to hunt down every secret the game has to offer.

Offspring Fling Coming Soon!
Wahoo! I just announced the release date for Offspring Fling! The game is coming out on March 30th, 2012, and you'll be able to get it from OffspringFling.com!

I put together an image to try and promote the game's release, check it out!

I wanted to make something that reminded me of the old flyers that I used to browse through every Christmas to see what awesome new games we're coming out, and since Offspring Fling is so super influenced by games I love on the Super Nintendo, it seems appropriate to market it as a Super Pretendo game.

To see the full version of the flyer you'll have to go over to the Offspring Fling website. Along with the flyer, there's also a preview of the game's soundtrack from Alec Holowka. The soundtrack will be coming out on Bandcamp a little bit after the game's initial release.

The time for throwing children is almost upon us!

Offspring Fling Revealed!

Offspring Fling Revealed!
Hey internet! Today I am very happy to show you the official REVEAL TRAILER of Offspring Fling!

Offspring Fling started as a game jam game back in May of 2011 where the theme was motherhood. I was incredibly happy with the way the jam version of Offspring Fling turned out, so for the next several months I slowly picked away at the game turning it into something bigger and better. The game became so big and awesome that I decided to turn it into my first non-freeware game! WHOA!

The game's soundtrack is provided by none other than Alec Holowka who pitched in the original track for the game that was in the game jam version. It's also the same track used for the trailer.

So get HYPE and spread the word about Offspring Fling if you would be so awesome! Oh and also stay tuned for more updates about it. The game might be coming out sooner than you think!

Yo! I went to a game jam last weekend at the University of Advancing Technology, and I made a game! (Again!) I'm still trying to figure out what to do with it, but for now here are some screenshots.

I'm looking for any feedback on the game, and it's really tough since not a lot of people can play local 2 player games... so if you have any thoughts or comments either use the comments to get back to me, or use the form on the bottom of my site to contact me.
