Genesis 4 TowerFall
A few weeks back I played TowerFall at Genesis 4. I flew out to Oakland and drove down to San Jose with the California TowerFall crew and spent the whole day playing some pretty intense matches. Indie Olympics TowerFall

Indie Olympics TowerFall
Last week during Game Developers Conference I had the chance to defend my crown as TowerFall World Champion. The folks at Showdown, as well as the San Francisco area TowerFall community put together the Indie Olympics which featured a whole bunch of games, but TowerFall was center stage.

The tournament was probably the most legit TowerFall tournament I've ever attended. It was pool play with two players advancing out of each pool, and then top 16 all the way down to one. It was also double elimination which was super cool. The whole event was incredible, and you can watch it all right here, but for now here are my streamed matches:

Humble TowerFall Invitational

Humble TowerFall Invitational
Just got back from Game Developers Conference last night! I'll be writing up some sort of thoughts and feels post about it soon, but for now enjoy some matches from the TowerFall Invitational put on by Humble Bundle this year!

The tournament was absolutely incredible this year. We had over 70 entrants in the whole thing all playing 1v1 best out of 3 (and the grand finals were best out of 5.) It was hosted at Folsom Street Foundry which was just an amazing venue to say the least. I really hope this continues and becomes a solidified GDC tradition!

Assassin Prince 360 Controller Mod

Assassin Prince 360 Controller Mod
I play a lot of TowerFall. So much TowerFall that I broke a 360 Elite controller within one month of purchasing it. I bought the "elite" controller because it was supposed to have that awesome d-pad that can transform and all that good stuff. Well it turns out that using the d-pad excessively results in the shell of the d-pad just cracking and breaking off.

At this point the controller is already broken, so I figured trying to mod it would be the best bet. I grabbed a new d-pad off of ebay, as well as a set of pink controller parts. The d-pad came with the screw driver needed to take apart the controller. After looking at a quick video on how to take apart the controller, here's the result!

Now I am totally ready to take on all opponents in style.

The Assassin Prince

The Assassin Prince
It's no secret that TowerFall might be my favorite game made in the past decade. The local TowerFall community in Phoenix is quite strong, and we play almost every night. We've been playing the beta for the recent PC and PS4 release for a few months now, and over that time I've collected a whole lot of replays.

Since the game is finally out I'm going to start sharing all of my awesome replays on The Assassin Prince. I pretty much always play pink, so every replay is going to feature the pink archer somehow.

Also, next week is Game Developers Conference and I'm looking forward to playing so much TowerFall with everyone, YEAH!
