@saint11 @MattThorson Gentleman's Mode (Today)

@cheapdevotion After I add some more stuff ;) (Today)

@usdaproved No, just trying to make it like Flashpunk. (Today)

@PixelScum Hahah yeah, its a little different than the C++ version but it seems to be working pretty well! (Today)

My SFML C# framework keeps track of scenes as a stack and updates the top one (and optionally keeps rendering the ones below) A neat setup! (Today)

@ChevyRay Yeah they got rid of the generic "Share.php?text=blah&url=t.co/MRF1e8tJAs" functionality :( (Today)

@paxl13 @BigGiantCircles Shoutouts to @infinite_ammo ;D (Today)

RT @paxl13: @BigGiantCircles @kylepulver best thing about Offspring Fling is its soundtrack! That's simply absolutely awesome (Today)

@jmickle_ Yeah, flash has become a pain to me. C# seems to be a (relatively) easy transition from AS3 with the right framework. (Today)

@rye761 Thanks ;D (Today)

@jmickle_ :D I'll share more details when I have some more basic game stuff working in it. (Today)

@kvisle Apparently! t.co/hjWWMbTikk (Today)

@RageKit Not using Mono yet but apparently its pretty easy to use Mono + SFML (according to blendogames t.co/hjWWMbTikk) (Today)

@Amidos2006 Yeah, they say support is coming soon though. It works for me because I'm mostly interested in PC/Mac/Linux (Today)

@RageKit For now! We'll see if I hit any brick walls with it in the next couple weeks ;D (Today)

The beginnings of a SFML C# flashpunk-like framework yay! t.co/ZUMeAVfuOQ #screenshotsaturday (Today)

@MattThorson "Yeah I'm pretty good at Tower Fall but I only play No Items, No Seeking Arrows, Final Destination." (Today)

@Seagaia2 @SeasonsDev @ChevyRay Make sure you have the latest version of Text from Draknek's branch -- it fixes a bug with multi-line text (Today)

RT @frogatto: Quite odd to read someone in '93 be jaded with "modern games"... Well at least we've improved on some points there! t.… (Today)

t.co/LjRk3PiShG - Today is the final day of Offspring Fling 50% Off for PC/Mac/Linux and completely DRM free! <3 (Today)

Goin' to the PAX10!

Goin' to the PAX10!

Earlier this morning me and my crew at Retro Affect finally got the green light to finally announce to the world that Snapshot is going to be in the PAX10, YEAH!

Check out all the games right here. There are some good ones in there, so I am super excited that Snapshot was able to squeeze into the selection somehow. Snapshot was also featured in the Boston Indie Showcase back at PAX East, so it also being in the PAX10 is some sort of back to back penny arcade super game selection combo, I think.

So now it's back to work on Snapshot to make sure it's looking good for the showcase!

PAX East: Day 3

PAX East: Day 3

And now for the final installment of the PAX East experience. It seems that I have completely exhausted my supply of shitty cell phone photos of the event, so this post will have significantly less photos.

We got back to our place of sleeping at about 11pm or so, so things were looking up this time as far as raw amount of sleep, but there was one problem: Daylight Savings Time. Yes, that's right, at exactly 2am time itself would bend around the will of man and advance by one hour in the blink of an eye. One less hour of sleep for the final day. It seems it was our destiny to only get 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night.

I think this time we actually slept in until maybe 8am instead of 6:30am. The demo was set to go for the day and we didn't have any bug fixes to get through before the doors opened to the public at 10am. Even though we had been lacking sleep for the past couple days, I didn't really feel that tired on the final day. The adrenaline of being so close to the end must've been keeping me awake. read more

Snapshot at PAX East

Snapshot at PAX East

Hey! Going to PAX East this year? GOOD, because Retro Affect will be there and we will be showing off the latest build of Snapshot. We're also going to be giving out a lot of cool stuff for people that swing by our booth.

It's all part of the Boston Indie Showcase, which features two other games along side Snapshot, so make sure that you stop by and check it out if you're going to be at PAX East. See you there! ;D
